At some point you will likely need to locate your company backup files (QBB) in order to make a copy of it, send it to your accountant, send it to a technician, etc.


How to Search for a File or Folder in Windows Vista, 7 or higher

To search for a QuickBooks / Reckon Accounts company data file

1. Click the Windows Orb (Start button), and then click Search
2. In the Search programs and files field type part or all of the name of the file or folder, eg *.QBB
3. Click on the See more results link
4. Click the Search button

How to Search for a File or Folder in Windows XP

To search for a QuickBooks / Reckon Accounts company data file

1. Click theStart button, and then click Search
2. In the Search Results window, click All files and folders on the left pane
3. Type part or all of the name of the file or folder, eg *.QBB
4. In the Look in box, click the drive or drives, folder, or network location that you want to search, or simply choose My Computer to search your entire computer
5. Click the Search button
