You'll note the latest update on that ideas request from a couple of weeks ago which state that our teams are currently focused on other areas of functionality which have a higher priority, in particular STP phase 2 which is particularly crucial to ensure continued compliance.

The feature has always been here, like another user has stated you can memorise the cheques for instance if you have a bill you pay every month for a set amount, you can set that up so you dont have to enter those each month, its a reoccuring transaction and they are very easy to setup, I use about 30-40 per month and it saves me from having to enter the data each time, or draw up a bill then make a bill payment.
