Thanks

    Hi @Robyn Cozens

    The pay date is still the key requirement that is the determining factor.

    Hi Rav, so if the pay day falls this week but is paying for the last week then the new rates apply?? Sorry I have watched and read everything more than once but my poor brain just does not get it

    Count how many weeks you have already paid Jobkeeper, should be 13 in each of the last 2 quarters

    I have counted the number of Jobkeeper payments prior to the payrun I did yesterday and there were 25. Yesterday I did the payrun for last week, only casual employees so the pay has to be done after the hours are worked and I used the Jobkeeper 1 rates, I now have 26 Jobkeeper payments but reading this it looks like I am going to owe my employer a refund of $375.00. I read everything I could find prior to doing the payrun yesterday and I could find nothing that covered the scenario of casuals who get paid after the hours are worked.

    @Joy Bodker

    As Rav stated above, it's the PAYMENT date that determines which ATO JK FN is relevant, not the period it relates.  If you did the payment yesterday, technically it should be JK 2 rates that apply however, due to everyone having different pay period/pay date cycles, there may be a crossover in some scenarios.

    As Kris said, as long as you have the correct number of JK 1 payments for the JK 1 period, that's fine.

    Have a look at the ATO's next lot of JK 2 pay periods so you can confirm in advance where your pay dates fall to check the number of payments balances out again for the next lot:
