Reckon enterprise export/ import data

Hi,

As we are doing restructuring of the business, therefore we need to transfer some information from one entity to another entity for certain period only i.e from 1 July 20 to current but leave the information prior this period in previous entity. Would it be possible to do it by exporting and importing data between QB offline account? rather than re-inputting one by one? if there is any way, can you please kindly advise on how to do it? and guide us please. thanks

How many transactions exist from 1st July 2020 to the current period that you would like to copy to another file?

Do you want to extract the period from 1st July 2020 to current date from "FILE 1" and recreate them into a totally empty new "FILE 2"?

Do you want to extract the period from 1st July 2020 to current date from "FILE 1" and recreate them a "FILE 2" that already contains other transactions?

There is no export function available that can easily move/copy transactions from one data file into another.

The Reckon Data Migration Team can also offer a service to extract and re-create transactions from one data file into another.

The Reckon Data Recovery Team can offer a service to delete the transactions from the period older than 1st July 2020 to provide you with a data file that only contains transactions from 01/07/2020 onwards.

There are also 3rd party tools available like Zed Axis which can assist in this extraction and import process to another data file.

Recreating transactions from one data file into another data file is not a simple process as it can also require recreating the associations BETWEEN transactions (such as correctly applying a specific payment to a specific invoice).

I would like to extract data for period from 1st July 20 to current from "FILE 1" to add them into "FILE 2" that already contains other transactions. Total transaction around 300. Thanks

From Reckon Accounts Enterprise to Reckon Accounts Enterprise.

You will need to provide them with both the source and the destination file, along with the specific requirements you have so that analysis can be performed and quote options provided.

Alternatively, you can purchase a 3rd party tool like Zed Axis which can assist you in this extraction and import process to another data file. This may be preferable if you have need for data extraction/import on a regular basis.
