$1200 Victorian Government rebate with approved Reckon software solutions

We’re excited to announce that Reckon has partnered with the Victorian Government’s Small Business Adaptation program to support small businesses to succeed with digital solutions.


Comprising a $20 million investment, the government is providing a $1,200 rebate to eligible Victorian businesses.


You're eligible for the rebate program if you:

The Small Business Digital Adaptation Program is for small businesses, sole traders, and micro businesses. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Operate a business located in Victoria
  • Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) on 13 September 2019
  • Be registered for GST and Services tax on 13 September 2020
  • Purchase a product that is not currently used by the business or;
  • Upgrade an existing product with additional functionality or;
  • Purchase a participating program that has previously been used by the business more than a year ago.

Which Reckon products are eligible for the rebate program?

Your clients can claim the $1,200 rebate against the following Reckon products; Reckon OneReckon Accounts HostedReckon Accounts DesktopBetter Clinics and Better Bookings.


How do you register for the rebate program?

To register for the rebate, you need to follow the below steps.

  1. Complete the online registration form before 28 February 2021.
  2. Sign up to trial and purchase their preferred Reckon product here.
  3. Apply for a rebate via Victorian Government with proof of purchase.
  4. Full rebate $1200 is paid. Full details click here.


When do registrations for the trial period close?

To participate in the program, your clients must register before the trial period closes on 28 February 2021 30 June 2021.

    We're pleased to let you know that the Victorian Government’s Small Business Adaptation program has been extended to Wednesday, 30 June 2021.


    The eligibility guidelines have also been revised as per below, making it easier for your Victorian clients to apply for the $1,200 rebate that will cover the cost of their Reckon subscription:

    • Victorian businesses seeking to access the rebate will no longer be required to register for the program or to wait 28 days to apply for the program rebate.
    • The ABN checker will ensure businesses seeking a rebate are eligible for payment. Businesses will have the option of applying for a rebate once their eligibility has been confirmed or may choose to trial one or more products prior to lodging an application.
    • The requirement for applicants to be registered for GST has been removed.
