I pay staff a salary not ordinary hours but cant see Salary as an option to choose ? the hourly rate does not multiply x 38 to equal the correct payment rate. any ideas please ?

Did you get a solution to this post? I have the same query and just want to input employee fixed salaries when creating the pay run but cannot find "salary" option ?!

There has been no solution to this problem. I successfully sent payment to the ATO by dividing salary into hourly rate and hours. Although not relevant, it worked.

thanks guys, annoying isnt it. I went to add salary as an option but it says it already exists but I cant see it. my hourly rate doesn't divide equally so each week I am 4 cents out which will add up at the end of the year ! oh well, they will have to deal with it then ! thanks for the comments

Yes, I got same message. In the end I just input 1 hour x the monthly salary as the rate so the gross amount was exactly equal to my payroll acalcualtions and payments.

If it says "salary" already exists but none of us can see it or find it, where the heck is it???

Yes, same here, 40cents out. At least it was accepted by ATO.

Shame we cant just phone someone and ask them, not sure if they read these posts. I don't need the paid version and the free one doesn't have a phone support system.

    Hi guys,

In relation to the 2 decimal point restriction causing your earnings balances to be out by a small number of cents etc

We've got an update for the app currently being finalised which will expand the field to accept 4 decimal places so that it will allow you to enter your earnings correctly.

More info on this update to follow so stay tuned for that.

Thanks Rav, that will be awesome and keep the ATO happy. I will look out for it

Hi @Rav . Is there any way of having making it an option in the payroll for hourly-based or reporting period-based input?

Alternatively, is there any impact in inputting 1 hour by the total salaried wage as suggested by @snicko ? I would be fine with this if only the totals dollars are being reported to the ATO (as opposed to rate and hours), otherwise this may prompt some questions.
