Terminated employee appearing in 2020/21 EOFY

Hi Rav,
I had archived the terminated employee after putting in the termination date of 03 May 2019 but it still shows 2 employees in EOFY finalisation for 2020/2021. I have been following your fix but it is not working out for me. I read in the Community Thread that you can "choose" which employees to include in the EOFY reporting- cannot see how?... Though archiving should have excluded that terminated employee already as per the thread.
Hope you can help, please?
Thank you so much as always, most grateful!

Hi @Aprilscent
Can I just confirm, did this terminated employee have ANY submissions sent for them at all (that includes pay runs or update events) or any active balance at all in the 2020/21 financial year?

Hi Rave,
None Rave. This staff finished in May 2019. In the updated version, I was able to put in that termination date etc. Then when I tried to do my EOFY, the terminated staff still included but showing NIL amounts which are good but still not technically correct to report to ATO?
Appreciate your help. Kind regards

Thanks for that Evangeline.
There are a couple of other similar reports that have come through like yours so I'm getting the info collated and sending it over to our devs to investigate.
Can I please get you to send me a Private Message with the following details -
- ABN registered to your Payroll App account
- Name of the terminated employee that is appearing in your 2020/21 EOFY report
- Screenshot showing the termination date in this employee's profile and screenshot of them appearing in the 2020/21 EOFY report

Thank you for that Rav! I can do that but what's the best way to send DM you?

Hi Evangeline
I've actually been speaking with our app & dev teams about this situation this afternoon. Don't worry about sending through the details I asked for previously.
Instead, there's a couple of things that I need to go over with you.
The first goes without saying, the UI in the app definitely needs some improvement on how it handles/retrieves employees within this situation and I've got our app team re-examining this. I believed the termination date field via the new 2.11.15 update was the solve for this situation but it obviously needs some more work. as its certainly an area that will create some confusion as it has here.
The second thing is I've confirmed with the devs that while these $0.00 employees are appearing in the 2020/21 EOFY finalisation, they will be ignored when the report actually goes through to the ATO. So if you're holding back on sending the 2020/21 finalisation because of this, please go ahead and do so. I know its not ideal, but rest assured, that when you submit the EOFY report, only those employees who have been paid will be transmitted to the ATO.
If you have any questions please let me know.
