Delete account

Hi,

Are you able to delete my Payroll App account?

I migrated from the STP app to the Payroll app in June this year, then I realised I could still do one last payrun with the STP app. But I didn’t know that this last payrun could not be synchronised to the Payroll app.

Thus I think I should delete the account on Payroll app and do the migration again.

    Hi @tekohisa

Unfortunately, migration can only be performed once so if you've already migrated your info to the Payroll App previously in June it can't be done again.

    Hi Rav

So what will happen if you delete my account then I re-register one? It won’t prompt me to a new migration? Or will the previous data stay even if the account has been deleted?

Your account won't be prompted for migration again unfortunately. We cannot overwrite any data that is already in your Payroll App account and we're required to retain any and all submission data by the ATO.

Will this affect my account with ATO? I mean, on ATO’s end, all the past payruns have been submitted successfully. At the moment I use the app for STP reporting purpose only. Although on my Payroll app one payrun is missing, it should have no effects to my future submissions as the missing one belongs to the last financial year. Is this right?

If the submission you sent from the old STP app was for the previous 2020/21 financial year then I'd recommend that you amend your employee YTD balances in the Payroll App to account for this extra submission and then send through an EOFY finalisation. Doing so will overwrite any and all balances that the ATO currently hold for 2020/21 currently.
