Pay Slips appearing on WWW

One of our employees has discovered two pay slips publicly available on a web site when searching for her name.

The pay slips were emailed to her from Hosted on 2020 and now

appear on a site https://us.v-sdn.net which appears to be associated with Reckon Hosted when google searching the issue via google searches.

How did these two pay slips from 2020 appear on a public web site and how can they be removed?

Thankfully subsequent pay slips were sent via external email from Hosted.

    Hi @SUZYCUE

The web result from your screenshot is a discussion on the Reckon Community and more specifically, the https://us.v-sdn.net 'web address' is the hosting domain for images and/or attachments when they are added to a conversation on the Community.

I've had a look at your previous activity on the Community and I can see that you created a discussion post back in December 2020 on the topic of payslips (here). As part of that discussion post you have uploaded payslip PDF attachments in their entirety (see screenshot below).

I've gone back and edited the two posts that contained payslip attachments and removed the four instances.

Something to note, the content on the Reckon Community is public so any sensitive information should be either censored or obscured. There's more info on this under the 'Privacy' section of the Reckon Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct which I'll link below -

    Ahh Thanks Rav

That makes sense. You are correct I had a problem with these pay slips back in 2020 but had no idea that uploading details for someone to assist would place them on the WWW associated with the employee.

Would have thought they may have been attached to my profile but not to the employee but that appears not to be the case.

Thanks again for your help and fix.

    Regards

    Greg

    Hi Greg

Just to clarify further …. It’s because when you uploaded the payslips, you didn’t blank out the employee’s personal details 😬

For future reference, if you upload an image or document - not just here but anywhere public/online - you just need to open the image first & use the pen icon (or a filled shape, depending on what application features you have) to cover any identifying information eg name, address, bank details, TFN etc) 😊
