Help! Good Afternoon

I was not thinking and ive processed end of year today and its now finalised 2021/2022 and 1 week of 2022/2023 financial is also saying finalised.

How do i fix this. So i essentially have one group certificate for financial year 2021/2022 and it says "tax not ready" but one also for this financila year 2022/2023 saying "tax ready" with only onw eek in that i did not wat finalised!

Just to clarify, did you perform two separate EOFY finalisations? ie. one for 2021/22 and then another for 2022/23?

Hi Rav,

We pay Monday to Sunday. So as today was Monday, not thinking ive paid everyone and when i finished i hit finalise year not realising it would finalise BOTH financial years... so yes i think so

I'm assuming that you've entered the today's date as the pay date of payrun you just actioned earlier, correct?

I wouldn't worry too much about this but there are a couple of things you need to do.

The first is, you'll need to submit the EOFY finalisation for the correct (2021/22) financial year if you're ready to do so. ie. if you've completed all pay runs that have a pay date that falls in that financial year. (Its the pay date that is the determining factor for STP rather than pay period).

This will then switch your 2021/22 income statement to Tax Ready in MyGov.

Secondly, when you send your next pay run and submission for the new (current) 2022/23 financial year, it will unfinalise the 2022/23 one that you've just put through today and you can then just continue on as normal.

Thankyou. Correct! I finally spoke on phone to someone and have done all the above. I feel so stupid!
