EOFY Report

Hi I only have one employee to report so do a payrun monthly. I have just done the final year payrun dated 30/6/22, however because I have submitted it today it has gone into 2022/23 financial year, putting out my EOY 2021/22 totals which I want to submit to ATO.

Its the pay date that is the determining factor when it comes to STP rather than the pay period.

You've mentioned the date of 30 June 2022 above, can you confirm that was the pay date entered for the pay run created and sent today?

Yes that is correct pay date was 30 June. However hasn't gone into 2021/22 YTD instead 2022/23.

Hmm ok, that's interesting. Where are you seeing this balance in the 2022/23 year? In the Pay Summary tab within the employee profile or the EOFY finalisation screen? Or both?
On that note, if its appearing in the EOFY finalisation screen for 2022/23 can I get you check the Pay Summary for the employee and just verify whether this balance appears there as well?
Also, can I get you to take a screenshot and post it here, feel free to blank out any sensitive info eg. names etc.
Separately, are you on the latest version of the Payroll App? Currently v2.24.19

Yes I am seeing 2022/23 in both the employee profile summary and EOFY finalisaton screen. Just the monthly amount paid today. I have attached photos.
Also running current version

Great thank you for that, I'd like to get this looked at a bit further as it does sound pretty odd to me. I've sent the details over to my app dev team and hopefully they can give me a bit of further insight on what's happened here.

Hi @CJS, just getting back to you on this one.
Was this pay run initially created with a pay date in the current 2022/23 financial year and then edited to correct the date to 30 June?
Regardless of the above, to correct this you'll need to delete this pay run and recreate it with the correct date ie. 30 June and send through the STP submission as normal.
Deleting the pay run will also remove the balances from the 2022/23 financial year in your app. When you are ready to send through the proper first pay run for the 2022/23 year, just do so as normal and send through the submission, the STP Year to Date balances will update (STP is reported on a YTD basis only).

Yes I did edit it to the correct date so this may be the problem. Thank you very much I will try deleting it and start again.
