How can I tell if the STP even has been accepted by ATO?

In R1 it simply says SENT. When does this change to ACCEPTED?

    Hey Zappy,

    You'll find the status on whether the ATO has successfully accepted, rejected or still processing the STP submission in GovConnect.

    Open up the STP entity in GovConnect and you'll see the full list of submissions along with their status and/or whether they're ready to submit.

    The GovConnect service you're using to send your STP submissions serves multiple Reckon products both cloud-based (like Reckon One and Hosted) and offline as well such as Reckon Accounts Business & Payroll Premier.

    I can't speak for other SME software but all of our various payroll capable software versions are different in how they operate so it was important that we have a central platform to ensure everyone can be STP compliant no matter what technology or product they're using, rather than leaving anyone out in the cold just because of the type of software.

    Another aspect and key difference which the GovConnect service provides is the ability to actually view the STP data you are about to send before actually doing so. When GovConnect was first created this was far and away something that users were adamant they wanted in the STP process so that you, as as the submitter, is sure the data is correct rather than not being able to view what you've sent.


    The same process applies as if you are using Reckon Accounts Hosted, you'll send through the payroll data from the software then have the opportunity to verify it in GovConnect prior to sending it through.
