Which software should I advise - Hosted or Reckon One?
I have a potential new client who has asked me to set up software for her family's new business. She at present is using Quick Books in her own business but doesn't like it. I first thought Reckon Hosted as it's online, inexpensive, has all the items she'll need and I find it very people friendly. But then Reckon One is smaller and possibly better for the size of their new business. She has one employee, bills to pay relating to the business and sends out probably only one invoice per month. My problem is that if Reckon One is better I will need to do a course in it to help her set up. Advice would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!

Reckon hosted is approximately $800 per year, you’ll have to look at the reckon website for the prices of Reckon One as there are a few levels depending on the needs of the client

While they are both cloud accounting software services, they're quite different in a lot of ways.
Firstly, Reckon Accounts Hosted is a more mature software in terms of its features and functionality. Its based on our Reckon Accounts Enterprise software but with the added benefits of the cloud ie. you can login from an internet browser on any PC. Its more advanced and its features cover a broad spectrum for small to enterprise level accounting software requirements.
Reckon One is the newer kid on the block and its a new cloud service built on newer technology and is super affordable along with being customisable in terms of features through the addition of modules. While its not as rich as Hosted in terms of functionality for larger businesses, its an awesome solution for small business and is continually evolving.
I'll add some info to both below but let us know if you have any questions.

Reckon Hosted is far better than Reckon One, but considerably more expensive

Thank you, Kris. Could you maybe give me an approximate monthly comparison between the two that this lady would need to pay? I know that for the Reckon Hosted I used for many clients is $69.00 (which is possibly partner's rate). I should know these things but it's been a really long time since I was last asked to set up software. It is usually 'can you please do my book keeping'!

Thank you, Rav. I'll take these options to the lady tomorrow and see which one she thinks she'll go with. Cheers!

@Cheryl Medley RAH isn't necessarily more expensive ... Because Reckon One is purchased in Modules, depending on the modules needed, by the time you add these on, it can be fairly comparable in price to RAH. But RAH already HAS all its features (including much more advanced than R1) included.
If the client doesn't like it, it's usually because they don't understand how to use it. Often people decide they don't like something because "it can't do" what they want it to. In the case of RAH, it usually can, they just need to know how!
RA/RAH is the most user-friendly & powerful accounting software out there in terms of its capabilities - including its search/reporting functionality, which is way beyond any of the competitors ! 😊
