Adding a user to Reckon Govconnect

Hi,

Hoping for some help.  It is years since I set up my Reckon Govconnect. Back when it first came out I fumbled my way through it. I have been the only user this whole time.  I am going on annual leave and need to set up someone else to use it while I am away.  I am not sure I have done this correctly. Under Staff /portal role permissions I added her name, email and required details. I wanted to find out though what happens when the MFA box pops up.  I assume it would go to my mobile number.  Can we have two mobile numbers.  Alternatively is there a better way to set up two users or possibly three users.

Hi Leanne

With the share method that I've recommended above, the other individual will be required to set up their own MFA so they can designate their own mobile phone number for the codes to be delivered on.

Once you've shared successfully, I'd recommend just testing it out so that the other person is able to access the STP entity successfully.

thanks Rav.  I think I have done that now.  What do we do for MFA though. If she logs in and I have shared the file.  What happens when the pop up saying send code. Wouldn't that code still go to my mobile. I will be overseas and may not have access to it at times. Can we add her mobile number as well.

Hi Leanne

The way I'd recommend you action this is to share the STP entity itself to the person who will be looking after things while you're away rather than adding them as a Staff Member in your Portal account.

My first suggestion would be to go back in and undo those steps ie. remove them as a Staff Member from your account and instead follow the steps in the guide below to share the STP entity -

The only requirement is that the other individual will require their own Reckon Portal account which is free for them to register here - https://portal.reckon.com/
