Employee settings are changing after completing the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant
Hi everyone
We've confirmed a couple of issues occurring in the new 2023 version of Reckon Accounts Hosted after completing the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant.
What is the issue?
- An employee's 'Pay Method' is changing from Bank (Online) to Cheque after completing the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant.
- Leave accrual rate is being rounded to 2 decimal places.
- The 'reset hours each new year' option becomes unticked in Leave Details.
- The 'Year Begins On' is reverting to January in Leave Details.
- The 'use time data to create paycheques' option becomes unticked.
⛔ This only occurs after fully completing the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant. If you have not yet upgraded to Hosted 2023 you will not be affected.
ℹ If you have upgraded to 2023 but not yet completed the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant you are not affected and we recommend just holding off on doing so while we work on this.

Hi Rav, we have finalized our June payroll and EOFY finalisation for 2023. We have updated to 2023 and completed the STP2 phase 2 set up. We do not export the pay cheques to the ABA file for the bank to process as there are only 2 Employees. Will this affect us? Thanks

Hi @minileepee Unfortunately, it's not just the Pay Method that's been affected, it's also Timesheet inclusion & various components of employee leave accrual settings. Have you checked these areas in your file ?

Hi @minileepee great question.
In your case, since you're not using the 'Bank Online' method ie. to use in an ABA, then the payment method changing won't have an impact to you however there are a few other things that are being impacted 😢.
I've updated the list in the opening post above a little earlier today and we've added a bit more info in the help guide linked above as well.

It would have been good if this had been sent out to registered Accounts Hosted users, rather than having to "hear about it" from someone else by chance. Please keep us informed on the progress of this.

Hi everyone
I just wanted to give you an update on the above issue where certain information is being changed after completing the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant. I'm really happy to let you know the issue has been resolved and the fix has been automatically applied to Reckon Accounts Hosted 2023.
The new version with the fix included is v1.01 and you can confirm which version you have by going to Employees ➡ Tax Table Information ➡ Tax Info.
