Trial Balance report now displaying with all sub-accounts preceded by the main account title.
Hi I have an issue after upgrading to Reckons Accounts Enterprise 2023 for STP Phase 2.
For some unknown reason my Trial Balance report is now displaying with all sub-accounts preceded by the main account title. Previously the report displayed with the main account at the top and the sub-accounts displayed underneath.
Can someone suggest how to rectify this?

@Harshad I've replied on your other post also.
I think you're confusing the P&L with the Trial Balance. The Trial Balance has always displayed this way. The P&L (& balance Sheet) will show the accounts in hierarchal view but not the Trial Balance.

Apologies @Harshad ... I though you meant the sub accounts displaying on separate lines.
Hmm ... that's strange.
Do you have All accounts selected in the Filters (under Modify ...) ?
If so, I'd recommend running the Verify ... & Rebuild ... (x 3) on your Company File in case there's a corruption somewhere. (These are under the File dropdown menu > Utilities)

That's correct. I did verify & rebuild the file just now as you suggested & ran the TB report. Still the same issue.
Can you suggest something else? Thanks.

I've actually never seen it display just header accounts only in the TB so wasn't even aware it could just display those only! (I wonder if maybe the old file had some background corruption ...?)
@Harshad Can you still access your 2022 version ? If so, have a look at the report specifics & also the Preferences in that file.
Any ideas on this one @Rav ???

See below screenshot from 2022 version & the preferences. Show lowest subaccount was ticked but can't tick that option in 2023.

We've found cases of both the 'Use Account Numbers' and 'Show lowest subaccount only' options become unselected/unticked after completing the STP Phase 2 Migration Assistant in the 2023 version.
To resolve that, you simply need to tick the respective option in the preferences screen that you've highlighted in your screenshot above. You've mentioned that you're not able to tick it in 2023, is there something specific happening when you attempt to do so? ie. an error message etc?

Yes this is the message i am getting. I checked all chart of accounts but couldn't see any account without any account numbers. Am i missing anything? Thanks.

Ah ... Just go back into the Preferences there (in your new 2023 version) & select these checkboxes again.
You may need to de-select them then close out & go back in & select them again in order to "refresh" it 😊

I have done that multiple times but still it doesn't allow to save when i tick the show lowest subaccount only tick box. The warning still appears.

All fixed now. I checked the chart of accounts including inactive accounts & there was one inactive account without account number. I deleted that as we never use or posted anything in that account. After this step I was able to edit the preferences & select & save show lowest subaccount tick box. The Trial balance now looks fine. Thanks for your assistance.
