    Hi there Alison 🙂

Did you manage to get this one sorted?

We've got a help guide on this particular error message which I'll link below however it pertains to a network setup. Are you using a network setup with Reckon Accounts?

I haven't got it sorted yet.

    Will try the above.

When you say network setup, do you mean more than one computer? If so, no.

I can open one file but not the other one.

    I also get this message

But it won't switch or retry

I have also closed the files down and restarted my computer a few times but that didn't work.

Also logged off Remote Sessions via the Control Panel, but that didn't work either

Ah are you using Reckon Accounts Hosted rather than Reckon Accounts Desktop? (this has been created in the desktop category so just want to confirm).

If that's the case, can I get you to slightly rename your company file, I believe doing so should solve this particular error. Also when doing so, ensure that your file name doesn't have any special characters.

I'll add a guide below that has step by step instructions on how to rename your file in Reckon Accounts Hosted.

I have followed the instructions above but it doesn't seem to be saving the new name.

    Finally got it sorted.

There was an extra step I had to do that isn't on the guide.

Glad you got it sorted Alison.

What was the additional step you had to complete? If you can let me know I'll ask the team to update the article with that info as it might come in handy for fellow users.

My Files show as a Shortcut, so I changed the name of the Shortcut.

So I then opened the shortcut and pressed on the Red Flagged file

    then it opened as normal.

I tried to move the Red flagged file but it wouldn't let me.

    Hi Alison

That little arrow on the bottom left hand corner of a folder indicates it's a shared folder:

(If you have others accessing your company file, it will be inside there so multiple people can see/work in it)

The red .QBW that was inside it is your actual Company File & the one to be renamed (as you did) 😊

Thank you for clarifying that for me.

I did wonder why it was inside the other file.
