Error when trying to submit to ATO
Hi,
I've just upgraded Reckon One Payroll to STP2. I'm processing my first pay run since the upgrade.
When I click on the "submit to ATO" button I get an error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
I'm not sure what this means or what I need to check. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks

Hi guys
Apologies for this, we've got the team looking into this as we speak.
In the interim, please check all of your employees have a phone number listed for them in their profile. If there is no phone number for an employee(s), then please add it. Once that is done, try sending off your submission again.
Let me know how you get on.

Hi,
I upgraded to STP2 two weeks ago and have had no issues with the two pays. Today when submitting the payroll I also had the error message - "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
What was changed and how do I fix?
Thanks

Hi Rav,
I had to try a few different telephone styles as it did fail each time. I found a combination that did work and the payroll was submitted successfully and the ATO Status is now listed as "Success".
Thanks for your help but suggest you modify the telephone section.

Hi @GBC
Glad it worked! 🙌
Can I just get a bit more info around the phone number combination that you used? Was it not working if you just entered a continuous number without spaces or special characters eg. brackets such as the below?

That was how I finished up as a continuous number. I had tried +61 and just 61 in the first box for the mobile number.
Originally it was entered with gaps - 0412 345 678 in STP 1.
I have a larger payroll for a client that I am switching to STP 2 next week so will check the telephone numbers as part of the process

Hi Rav,
I had 4 employees that did not have a phone number recorded. I added a mobile number - just the number with no gaps in the second box nothing in the first. I was then able to submit successfully. Thank you for your help.

Awesome, thank you for that @GBC and glad it worked for you as well @Jojo42 🙌
We should have a proper fix in place for this very soon but yes for now, just ensure there is a phone number in every employee profile.
Thanks for your patience everyone, and apologies for the hassle its caused so far today.
