Hi there

Not having much success with trying to complete my Employee list because I have one employee who has a 'Foreign Resident' which the Checklist has input itself. I cannot input any information for the 'Home Country' field nor can I delete this employee anywhere. Help please!

    Hi Jeff

If you hop out of the STP Phase 2 Checklist and go to that particular employee profile in the main Employees section.

Is their Residency set as Foreign Resident and more specifically, is it supposed to be?

    Hi Rav

Thanks for getting back to me! No, this employee (fictitious) was setup 3 years ago to overcome a problem I had with a mistake I made in payroll. If necessary, I am happy to get this 'Default Employee' deleted, if possible. Here's the screenshot of what it is in the employees profile.

    Hmmm ok 🤔

Has this fictitious employee been included in any pay runs previously? If not, then you should be able to delete the employee profile? Is that not working for you? ie. is there an error appearing if you try and delete them?

Is this employee profile 'active' in the sense that are they terminated or are they still actively 'employed' so to speak?

If you're not able to delete the employee profile then I have a feeling we may need to add in some entries into this profile information just for the sake of data validation to pass the checklist.

    Hi Rav,

No I cannot delete the employee profile in Reckon and Payroll

. I get the usual error message when I try to delete or edit the employee profile. The employee is still 'actively employed' but no pay runs have been included for it. I've tried adding some entries but it doesn't update the profile.

    Hi Rav

I seem to have resolved this issue now. I managed to delete all transactions related to this Default Employee and then completed all the details with 'rubbish' data in Payroll Employees profile and now it's finished up the STP@ Checklist for me.

Thank you for all your help so far!

Ah awesome, I was literally just typing up a reply to ask if I could take a look on my end but awesome to hear you've solved it! 🙌
