Leave Loading on Annual Leave -

I am preparing my first payrun from Reckon payroll after upgrade from Payroll Premier.

Leave loading is not automatically being added to the hourly rate. Are we supposed to be adding a separate Other Leave option for this?

Hi @Therese R

Go to Settings ➡️ Pay Items ➡️Leave ➡️ Select the Annual Leave item

Check if Leave Loading has been specified in the item itself.

Rav, another question, Super is being calculated on leave loading. In our business, leave loading is exempt from super. I have the online chat offering to assist, but they are very slow in responding today and I am running out of time to process the pay run today. How can I fix this today please?

InterimSTP2EmploymentTypeId can only be used on STP version 1.

Where is that error message appearing for you specifically? After you send the STP submission or somewhere else?

It appeared after updating an employees record. I have yet to submit the STP file. It is a sporadic message. I just tried to generate it again but no luck.

I have submitted my STP data and it has been accepted by the ATO . I have not had this message again today.

However, I do have a question now about the Annual & Personal leave accrual using the Per time worked option. See attached PDF - apologies for screen shot not being particularly clear.

Sorry Rav - just found the issue. Fixed it by changing the number of standard hours worked in the employee profile to 38 instead of their regular P/T hours. Their hours can fluctuate from 28 to 38 hours so better to leave at 38 hours.

Week 2 into using Reckon Payroll . I can already see it is not as sophisticated as Payroll Premier particularly with reports.

I know that apparently the Departments will be enabled in the next upgrade. When is this upgrade occurring please? As we have employees based in multiple states, having Departments allowed me to filter the Payroll Premier reports for preparing Payroll Tax, Workcover and Portable long service leave for the various states. The reports also were used to easily find out how much leave was taken in any given period and how many hours were worked in a month or quarter. Am I able to prepare a report for PAYG so that I can easily compare it to the ATO's figures? Payroll Premier, even though it was not perfect, was great for all of it's reporting ability.

The current reporting by Reckon Payroll does not allow me to do any of the above. Even dates aren't required when leave is taken or RDO's taken so I am assuming, Leave taken reports aren't in the pipeline?

Can you please provide any solutions to my concerns?

Reckon Payroll will absolutely continue to evolve and be built upon with new functionality as we continue to progress however at this stage I don't have any specifics in terms of timeframes or inclusions in the next releases at the moment.

The current focus for the teams at this stage is to investigate and address some issues and hiccups that have cropped up during the upgrade process and iron those out ASAP so we can get all our Payroll Premier customers over to Reckon Payroll.

You have however raised some good feedback and I would strongly recommend adding these as feature requests to our Ideas Portal here - https://ideas.reckon.com/. Our dev team are on the lookout for ideas for improvements directly from our users to incorporate into the product and future releases.
