Hi there,

Since the upgrade I cannot access my book, whenever I select Payroll from Reckon one I get this page:

When I tried to create it again - it tells me the book exists.

I am the administrator and owner of the book

Please advise as soon as possible - as I need to process the next payrun

thanks,

    Hi @MaxDataSol

Can you please head into your Reckon One book settings (Settings ➡️ Book Settings) and check that the branch number field has 001 entered. If its blank or has anything else in it, please remove it and enter in 001.

    Example screenshot below -

Once that is done, save it and then launch Reckon Payroll again. Does it work successfully for you after this?

My branch did have 2 on it - I have changed it to 001, saved, closed the browser - re-launched but it still gives me the same error.

You don't have access to this book

Is there any chance you can have a look at my book and see whether it is something wrong with it? https://payroll.reckon.com/landing/#?bookId=7188e9ec-076d-4838-a4f9-5bebdfdbf6d6

I think I see what could potentially be giving you some trouble. Its a little hard to explain so here goes, and let me know if you have any questions..

From the looks of it your Reckon One book is under the same email address that your Reckon Community account is registered under. However that account does not have an STP entity from GovConnect under it, only your Reckon One book.

You need to have access to both your Reckon One book and also the associated STP entity for your ABN in order to access the Reckon Payroll upgrade. When I look at your ABN, I can see that it is indeed registered in GovConnect however it seems that its been registered by someone else (in a different account), maybe your accountant or bookkeeper?

If you're looking to do the upgrade yourself, you just need access to your STP entity for your ABN. They can share it with you (using the steps HERE) or if they no longer require access to it then we'll need to look at transferring the ownership of the STP entity over to your account from theirs, that will require a signed statutory declaration.

Let me know if that makes sense or if you have any questions.

Hi Ravi, that is a disaster! Neither my accountant nor me recollecting registering for mygov connect... And now neither of us can access the book... I don't have any way to revert it back to the previous version and I need to process a payrun this week!

Please advice what are my options

    I'm not quite sure I'm following 🤔

I'm assuming your accountant has been submitting STP submissions on your behalf which is why your ABN/STP entity is registered to GovConnect in an account other than your own. Is that correct? I can see there have been submissions sent under it so its definitely being used so I assume that's correct(?).

Its not a disaster at all and should be simple to straighten out. The other individual (I assume your accountant) has access to both your book (shared) and the STP entity (because its registered to their account rather than yours), so they should be able to access Reckon Payroll provided they have admin or payroll admin access.

If you wish to access Reckon Payroll yourself, the existing STP entity will need to be shared to you using the guide I linked above.

Separately, I can see that a new STP entity has been created this afternoon in GovConnect under GST branch 002. I'd strongly recommend that you don't use that since that isn't the existing STP entity that is being used for your ABN.

    Hi Ravi.

I asked my accountant and she assured me she doesn't have access to the book either... That's what makes it so difficult to for me

Is there any way to check whose email is used under my govconnect at all?

    What do I do?

    Hi Rav

My accountant's email was in fact associated with my book (don't know how), but she shared with me access and I was able to access my book.

Until today - today I am trying to access it with the same details I tried on Friday - and I cannot do that. The same error message - no access to this book - what is it?
