I don't think there is a way. I guess it would defeat the whole purpose of the MFA security

    Morning @Megan_Chud

As @Eric Murphy mentioned above. ⬆️, there is no way to set-up MFA for multiple users neither with Google Authenticator nor with any other application.

MFA is meant for security purpose and if multiple users have access to the codes, it will no longer be secure enough. Thank you!

That makes your software totally useless doesn't it? Paying all this money to use your software and now it can only be used by one person. If you can't work out a way to make this work for multiple people then I think you better start refunding money as this makes your software obsolete.

There hasn't been any change to the software @Glenn Allan Knight. MFA is simply adding an additional layer of protection to your Reckon Accounts Hosted account in compliance with ATO requirements.

When it comes to your individual Reckon Accounts Hosted login, like other online accounts you have, it isn't designed to be shared across multiple individuals. It invalidates any realistic account security and isn't best practice. Ideally, each individual user should have their own licence to Hosted and this allows concurrent access to your file(s) in Hosted ie. its own login, and it will also have its own dedicated MFA for that specific user.

GoGo, if your accountant has his own account with Reckon, then you just need to share your Reckon One book with his username? This is done through the 3 dots at the top right corner of your book tile?

So what is the point of multi user on Accounts Hosted then, if it is not to be able to have others log in? Like Gogo I want my accountant to be able to log in and review the files, and assist with various things. This should not require a licence.

    @2manynames

The introduction of mandatory MFA to Reckon Accounts Hosted is a compliance requirement however its important to note, this hasn't changed anything around the terms of licences or multiple users/multi-user functionality. A Reckon Accounts Hosted licence is specific to the individual and isn't designed to be shared among multiple people much like other online accounts you may have.

Generally, an accountant has their own Hosted account/licence (separate from any client accounts), which you then (as a client) share your files to their account allowing them to open and work on it.

Our Reckon account is registered in our business name so ,as my husband and I are business partners, there should be a facility for both of our mobile numbers to be listed in the MFA.

I have found no accountant who has a Reckon account/license. Most accountants do not want anything to do with Reckon and encourage you to find a different accounting software.

There must be a away for accountants to access Reckon Hosted to do our required paperwork without paying $915 for a lic they will use for 1 week a year.

@MidlandAuto there seems to be no answer anywhere for accountants who don't have their own license for Reckon. Without an answer, Reckon are accepting that people are sharing their MFA codes? People need an answer for this, that isn't paying $915 to allow their accountant access to their file, or compromising their security by sharing MFA codes.

    Hi @kirk1986

As mentioned above in this thread, there hasn't been any change when it comes to the terms of licences with the recent introduction of MFA.

A Reckon Accounts Hosted licence is specific to the individual and isn't designed to be shared among multiple people much like other online accounts you may have eg. your internet banking account, MyGov account etc.
Each individual user should have their own licence to Hosted which allows concurrent access to your file(s) in Hosted ie. its own login, and it will also have its own dedicated MFA for that specific individual.

In regard to your point around sharing MFA, no we don't endorse nor advocate sharing MFA codes in any way.
