Payment date for pays is always 2 days in future
When I set pays up 3 years ago there was a question about payment date and I may have selected 2 days ahead. When I realized what this did I could not change it. I have rung help several times about this with other things. Once I was told how to fix it but I had to be doing a pay run at the same time, next pay I forgot how. Next time was told to set up a scheduled pay but this adds too much work to pay runs. Next time I was told that this could not be changed as there were no settings in the program. And didn't say why other people have todays date rather than 2 days in future

Right ok thanks for that. This post was created in the Payroll Premier category which is completely different software. I'll move it over to the right place.
In regard to the situation around the pay date defaulting to an advance date, the product team have let me know that this is something that has come through and been inherited from the old Intuit codebase. Its something the team will include for looking into and possible enhancement in next year's release of Hosted.

Have you already upgraded to Reckon Payroll from your Payroll Premier desktop software?
Can you give us a bit more information on this as it sounds rather strange. How/where are you creating pay runs and why are you unable to select the actual date as the pay date when doing so? Is there an error appearing when you try or is something else going on?

Scheduled pays work well, I personally have no issues with them

That's great to hear @Rav as this is a bugbear for me also!
@Kris_Williams The purpose of schedules is to allow for isolation of different pay runs eg weekly-paid staff v monthly salary payees. I never use them unless an employer actually has this scenario as it can cause problems if an employer forgets to "generate" it from the schedule 😬

I never forget to generate from the schedule and if someone else does it’s very easy to reset the date on the schedule. In my case I like them, but everyone’s different and has different needs
