    Hello at Reckon,

I am having the same issue as above not being able to add a new employee. I have read the above suggestions and still can't see what is wrong. Get to the Leave Tab and enter details and when I push the "Save & Continue" button I get the following error message:

    Employee details not saved

Super fund needs to be linked a super contact.

I can't even got to the later superannuation information for this employee as my only option is to select "Cancel"........I also have pay items set up for superannuation including Salary Sacrifice, Super Guarantee and Additional Employer Payments. Have also added the new employee's super fund to the list of funds but that seems irrelevant as I can't move to the super details for this new employee record? What is wrong here?

    Hi @Geoff B

The Super fund needs to be linked a super contact error message usually appears when the default system super fund has been modified. We've recently updated this so that the default super fund can no longer be modified however if you've already done so, then I'd recommend following the steps outlined in this help guide below -

Rav, I have not modified the default system super fund and have no fund listed as such............reading the link it says to delete the super fund with the most employers as members and modify to what? Sorry, but these instructions are not clear at all?

If you go into Settings โžก๏ธ Superannuation Funds in Reckon Payroll and don't see the Default Super Fund in the list then its very likely that the existing one has been modified to a different super fund or deleted altogether.

The instructions in the help guide linked above assumes that the default super fund has been changed to instead be some other super fund and as such, outlines the steps to revert it back.

.. reading the link it says to delete the super fund with the most employers as members and modify to what?

The info in that section you're referring to is usually the easiest way to identify what used to be the Default Super Fund as its usually the one that has the most employees assigned to it.

Hope that helps but let me know if you have any questions.
