Hi, when trying to set up a part time employee's Personal Leave, this error comes up:

Error when trying to update employee details

Id does not match for this Employee's Leave.

What could be the cause of this issue? Thanks

    Hi @dave

Hmm I can't say I've seen that particular error message before 🤔

Have you created a new personal leave item or are you just using the default item in Reckon Payroll?

Also, where is this error message appearing specifically? ie. is it allowing you to add the item itself to the employee profile or does it appear straight away when you attempt to do so?

I'm using the default item Personal Leave in Reckon payroll.

In Employees, the item itself is already in the Employee Profile, but I need to edit the annual entitlement since they are a part-time employee, but when I try to change the annual entitlement, the error message pops up.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi @dave

I think we might need to take a closer look at this one. I've just sent through an access request to your book, can you please grant access when you have a chance. It'll come through via an automated email to the email address registered to the book.

Done. This is for employee with initials JL, trying to make the annual entitlement 39 hours instead of 76 for Personal Leave. Thanks

    Hey @dave

I just tried giving it a go on my end a couple of different ways but unfortunately ran into the same error.

I'm going to get my product dev team to take a closer look into this and help us out here. I've put the details together into a case and sent it over. I'll keep you posted as soon as I get an update from the team.

Hi Rav, just checking if there's been an update in fixing this error?

Apologies for the delay in getting this addressed @dave. I was hoping it would have been solved prior to the Christmas break as I spoke to my devs about it again at that time.

The good news is, I do have an update for you and the reason this error is occurring is due to the leave pay item held on the employee is set to Inactive status.

To be able to edit the leave, first go to Settings and make the leave item Active and then after that make the necessary changes to the leave entitlement.

The team are going to put a task in to make that error message much more informative and meaningful to advise this.

Let me know how you get on.
