Reckon Hosted Vs Reckon One

I'd like to hear some feedback from those who have migrated from Reckon Hosted to Reckon One. We have a business of approximately 50 staff. I like the features and functionality of Reckon Hosted but find it quite cumbersome and extremely slow at times. It would be time-saving to have more automation within the program. (Invoice Reminders, Recurring monthly invoicing, monthly statements ) Can Reckon One cope with medium-sized businesses? Will it be updated to provide the same features and functionality? Will Reckon One be getting improvements as I have been told that the focus is Reckon One, and that is where resourcing is going.

Hi @Kat001 Reckon Accounts Hosted (RAH) & Reckon One (R1) are very different programs … in both appearance & in functionality. RAH has far greater capacity & features whereas R1 is more targeted at micro/sole trader businesses.

RAH is the top - Enterprise version - of Reckon Accounts (RA) (which used to be known as "QuickBooks") This version has every feature available including sales/purchase orders, quotes, job costing, progress invoicing, price levels, billing rates, timesheets, UOM, classes, highly customisable user permissions, mileage, multicurrency & industry-specific + multi-company reporting

You'll lose a lot of current features downgrading to R1 😬

This would not be my choice as they are totally different in capacity.

    Hi @Kat001

While they are both cloud accounting software services, they're quite different in a lot of ways.

Firstly, Reckon Accounts Hosted is a more mature software in terms of its features and functionality. Its based on our Reckon Accounts Enterprise software but with the added benefits of the cloud ie. you can login from an internet browser on any PC. Its more advanced and its features cover a broad spectrum for small to enterprise level accounting software requirements.

Reckon One is the newer kid on the block and its a cloud service built on newer technology and uses our next-gen payroll solution called Reckon Payroll which would be really handy for your staff. While its not as rich as Hosted in terms of functionality for larger businesses, its an awesome solution for small business and is continually evolving.

Each software has its own way of doing things so if you're using Hosted already at the moment then my recommendation to you would be to give Reckon One a test drive first by taking out a free 30 day trial and see how it works for you and your requirements.

I'll add some info on Reckon One here - https://www.reckon.com/au/accounting-software/

If you have any questions, let us know 🙂
