Reckon Hosted 2024 Upgrade

HI - Do we need to wait until EOFY 30 June to upgrade (or last payroll)? Or if we are happy with all balances etc atm, can we upgrade now?? TIA

Hi @Pivacadmin,
It's perfectly fine for you to now upgrade to Reckon Accounts Hosted 2024 now if that's suitable for you.
Hosted 2024 includes support for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 tax tables.
Thank you and have a lovely day.
Cheers,
Lucas

Hi - confirming if this is accurate that upgrading early is OK if we're using payroll? We upgraded a company file on Sunday 16/6 and did payrun for w/e 16/6 on Wed 19/6 in the new 2024 version. Payroll staff advise that the Super calculated at 11.5% and had to be manually changed. We have another company file to upgrade this weekend with alot more staff needing pays so trying to understand if we'd done something wrong or if we should have been waiting until the new financial year to upgrade?

Yes you can upgrade to the new 2024 version now. If you still have pays remaining for the current 2023/24 financial year after upgrading then you need to select No to the option of updating super to 11.5% when the below message appears.
The message will appear each time you attempt to create a pay run. Once you've finished all pays for the 2023/24 financial year and ready to create your first for the 2024/25 financial year, select Yes and super will calculate at 11.5%.
From what you've described above, it sounds like you may have selected Yes to update super to 11.5% already which is why the recent pays calculated super at the new rate.

Thanks - that makes sense - team here isn't 100% sure if they saw/clicked that without paying attention to it but seems most likely and we'll make sure they watch for the next company files
Have confirmed that the PAYG had calculated correctly from 2023 rate

Hi, we have just upgraded to the 2024 version and our Superannuation is still on 11% and we clicked on the yes, how do we change it to 11.5% or do we need to go into the Super Accounts and change them individually

Hi @Lyndag
This is happening randomly for some users but not others.
In Preferences, click the checkbox to bring back messages (Under the Edit dropdown menu):
… then close out of your file & log back in again to refresh the prompt.
NOTE: In some cases, this selection is automatically reverting to being unticked again afterwards but if not, you will get ALL messages back so just tick the "Don't show again" option on each one !

Good Morning
I have tried the above as our super is still at 11%. The message is unticked when I log back in and tick it again and still no message coming up. How do I get the super to update please. I am using Reckon Hosted

@Michelle_7070859 Log Off Remote Sessions (accessed from the Control Panel) FIRST, as it sounds like it’s not disconnecting when you exit 🤔
Tick the checkbox preference FIRST, then exit/disconnect before logging back in ☺️

OMG I had all one time messages come back on other things which was annoying but the last message I clicked - my usual don't show me again and low and behold the next message was the Super. YAY success and said yes to be updated WOOHOO.

my last pay date was on Thursday 27th June 2024; so i'm able to upgrade even though technically we have 2 days still in June (the last thursday & friday), which will be paid in July (4th July - thursday tomorrow); STP finalisation was correctly finished also - as the last pay in last financial year has been completed.

In relation to this… I ran a payroll today 3/7/24 for week ending 30/06/24.
Tax tables have been updated (assuming cause we are now in July) BUT the YTD amounts on today's pay slips have started as if week 1 of year 24/25 - shouldn't they have continued on as the pay week cycle are relevant to year 23/24 ??
I'm worried about submitting my STP - 'Finalize year' for today's pay run and it only shows 1 weeks' pay?
I have also run 'Verify Data' and no errors we found
Thanks Redline

Payroll goes in the date paid not for the period.
Your payroll paid today 03.07.24 for w/e 30.06.24 does indeed belong in 24/25 year.
Cheers
Michelle
