New super rate

I opened a file in 2024 version and after reading a few discussions I expected to see a message confirming the new Super rate of 11.5

However I did not receive a message and the rate had not changed

    Hi @Kris_Williams

Was the super guarantee rate set to 11% in the file you upgraded to 2024 or was it set to something else?

The reason I ask is, the message to update SG to 11.5% will only appear if the rate for the item is set to 11% at the time of upgrade.

If the above is not applicable, then instead head into Preferences and select the option to 'bring back one-time messages'.

I believe the message should appear after this but let me know how you go.

    Dear @Kris_Williams ,

The super rate change message is implemented into Reckon Accounts Hosted 2024. Very peculiar that it did not trigger.

Was the file recently updated? Or had it been updated previously, and you opened it?

    Kind regards,

no I waited until I had done the last pay, the rate was set to 11%. I am the only one to access this file. Yes I will change it manually

@Kris_Williams Several APs have encountered this … but not all, so it looks to be a random anomaly that Reckon haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause of as yet 🤔😬

I also found that the super rate hadn't increased to 11.5% automatically. I have adjusted manually but will have to check if entering a new employee. Prior to this it was set at 11% and that is where it remained after the 2024 update.

Log Off Remote Sessions (accessed from the Control Panel) first, as it sounds like it’s not disconnecting when you exit 🤔

Tick the checkbox preference FIRST, then exit/disconnect before logging back in ☺️

    Hi Robyn

Just wanted to check, did you select YES to the message to update your super item to the new 11.5% rate? Or did it not appear?

Our IT guy was doing the update but I was watching the entire time. I can't recall this message appearing although I'm not 100% sure.

The message has not appeared for me either. Ticked one time message/logged in/out, ticked one time message again and still nothing. Verified data, Logged off remote sessions and tried all again and still super has not updated. I need to do wages today gggrrrr. It happened smoothly last year but not this year.

OMG I had all one time messages come back on other things which was annoying but the last message I clicked - my usual don't show me again and low and behold the next message was the Super. YAY success and said yes to be updated WOOHOO.

For me, the message did not appear when I upgraded, but when I clicked on the Employee Centre then the message popped up. After clicking YES, I double-checked our employees that have super calculated as a % and they had all been updated to 11.5%.

Perhaps if anyone else is having the same issues, trying entering the Employee Centre.

    Hello all,

If you are not receiving the Super Rate adjustment window, please do the following:

    1. Ensure you have upgraded to Reckon Accounts 2024.
    2. Go to Edit, and select Preferences.
    3. In the General tab, tick "Bring Back One-Time Messages".
    4. Press OK.
    5. Go to Window, and select Close All.
    6. After this, go to the Employee Centre, then select Payroll.
    7. Click Unscheduled Payrun.

You should get the warning about updated Tax Tables, then the alert for the Super Adjustment.

    Kind regards,
