Hi

We are a new Reckon user and have a Stata company (SP) that we want to set up.

We have decided to do our own accounts and strata management as we only have 3 units in the strata. We have not been happy with the strata manager charging for everything!

If anyone has a chart of accounts that would suit which divides the expenses into Admin and Capital please get in touch

We only have a small number of expense accounts so we are capable of doing it ourselves but would prefer not to reinvent the wheel.

Regards Kari

    Hi @karipettersen

I can't add much in the way of recommendations on what should go into the CoA but I'll just add some info below on how to import your own CoA into Reckon One.

The guide contains some important information on the format and mapping of data if you're looking to import your own custom CoA πŸ‘‡

Have just used the standard chart and changed descriptions to suit the previous system P&L and Balance Sheet items

This has allowed input of previous year end balances for comparison purposes

For Strata purposes, this has allowed splitting Admin expenses from Capital expenses but does not show the cash at bank into separate categories. As we are only a small strata we do not think that this will be an issue as the equity can (is) split into both categories and other than cash there are few other balance sheet accounts
