STP upload status pending for over two hours

Hello team,

The STP submission has been stuck in "pending" status for a couple of hours. Normally, it uploads within a minute, or I receive an error within 1-2 minutes. I've never seen it remain pending for this long.

Could anyone advise on what might be causing this. Should I just keep waiting?

    When it takes that long (for an existing, successful account with no payroll config changes in payroll), it's usually due to a delay at the ATO's end.

    The system may well be heavily loaded due to being both the last day of the month AND the individual-income-tax-lodgment deadline 😬

    Thanks Shaz, I'll check Monday. It still pending. Crazy, I've never seen it take this long

    @blairmuller I think there's a delay at the ATO's end as my one from today is still pending & have had clients reporting the same 🙄😬

    Ours is still showing pending? They should have the delay sorted now?

    I would export a new file and relodge, just ignore the original you can’t do anything about it, you could try a replacement file, but because the original hasn’t been lodged it may not come up in the list to replace

    Hi @blairmuller

    If its still in a pending status, the ATO hasn't returned a status update for that specific submission so just leave it as is. STP is reported on a YTD basis only for employee balances so your next successful submission will update the YTD balances or if you haven't submitted any other submissions since, you can re-send it (as a new/regular submission) as @Kris_Williams mentioned above.

    Please note - sending multiple submissions will affect the ATO's W1 & W1 BAS prefill so may need manual correction when the time comes.
