Not opening links in external browser from Account Attributes panel
Apparently the new version - v31 R1 - has this new 'feature' -
External Links
: Links now open in your own default browser which means you no longer need to rely on the internal in-product browser
If I try to open a link from the Account Attributes panel:
… it still uses the internal browser. However if I go into 'Edit Account Details' and click on the 'Go' button, the external browser is used to show the page:
Does anyone else experience this? There doesn't appear to be a configuration setting I can set to force it to use the external browser. I feel it is a bug.
Thanks,
David

Thanks for flagging this David.
I can replicate what you're experiencing. Do you use this area within the software frequently to navigate to web URL's?

Hi Rav,
Yes, I do use this area as it is part of the default 'Overview' screen when I click on any of my 'Investment' accounts. I use the link to open up unit prices from the various websites.
Not sure where else you could go to a URL apart from the 'Edit Account Details' page as shown above.
I thought it would be a great new feature as often, in the internal browser, I get multiple 'script errors' whereas using an external browser these errors don't happen. This has been a pain for many, many years.
Thanks,
David

Thanks for that guys, I've been trying to see where the new "External Links" option is.
Apart from the Account Details GO link, every other URL goes to Inernet Explorer or older browser.
Definitely a bug that should be fixed.
