Decimals and Payrun calculation different from what it used to be

Hi there,
Was there a change made in the way decimals are treated in the pay run now?
For example when i put 5.42 x $36.09. Reckon overrides the 5.42 as (5.416666666666667) which throws off the total.
same with 5.49 (it changes it to 5.48)
it never used to do this? it just used to do the straight multiplication in what i put in. what can i do as its throwing off all my calculations.

Hi @Arron
The latest update to Reckon One has introduced the ability to enter hours and minutes when creating a pay run. Reckon One will automatically convert this to the appropriate decimal value after you enter in the quantity.
More info on this in the latest release notes announcement here - Reckon One update! ✨ Enter hours & minutes in a pay run, new sort options, row improvements & more!
When you are entering, say 5.49 in the hours field, are you doing so with the intention that is 5 hours and 49 minutes in terms of time worked for those earnings?

no i already meant it in a decimal form. when i put 0.42 i mean 25minutes.
but 25minutes comes out as 5.416666666666667
for example

but when i enter it. it turns into 5.41 as the final number
so essentially 5.42 turns into 5.41 as the final input (which means it's short 0.01)
so
5.42 x 36.09 = $ 195.61
5.41 x 36.09 = $ 195.25
theres a difference of 0.36c as the system is overiding me from just entering a plain 5.42

Any way to turn this option off and have it before? i need to use the proper decimal point rather than the software rounding it down or up as it pleases. every cent incorrect adds up over all the employees

Need updates ASAP - this has affected multiple payments

I've asked our product team to take a look into the observations raised by @Arron above. I'll keep this thread posted with more info as soon as it comes to hand.

Thanks Rav. @Lucas was also looking into this for me

Has there been any updates on this? We need to process our payroll and across both our books we have at least 20 employees with incorrect figures due to the software rounding it incorrectly.

I've been speaking with the product team this morning and they are currently investigating this at the moment. I have also communicated the urgency required around this.
I don't have a great deal more to share just yet but I'm keeping a pretty close eye on this ticket and I'll let you know once I have any more details.

Hi folks
Just a quick update to let you know we've got some work underway right now to address the rounding behaviour in the pay run drawer that you've outlined above.
More info to follow.

Morning all
We're currently testing a solution to address the above behaviour. If testing proves successful we'll look to roll this out to Reckon One today but I'll give you confirmation of that as soon as I've got it.
Thanks for your patience everyone and apologies for the hassle and frustration this is causing at the moment. I'll keep you posted.

Hi again everyone
I just wanted to let you know we've just released an update to address the issues with balances being rounded in the pay run drawer.
This is now in effect so if you create a new pay run, you'll enter hours in as a decimal value as you were previously, and of course without any rounding occurring.
Thank you again for your patience. If you can please give it a try when you have a chance and let me know if its working for you that would be great.
