Are you able to create timesheets in Reckon hosted that align with payroll items?

We have full time and casual staff. Our casual staff get penalty rates for different shifts. Can I have a timesheet enter their hours then it automictically calculates their hours, penalty rates and aligns with payroll items? Is there a protocol on how to set this up?

If you pop in timesheets into the in-product help menu (Help ➡️ Reckon Accounts Help) within Reckon Accounts Hosted it brings up some detailed info on using timesheets along with linking to paying employees using a scheduled or unscheduled pay run.

The Timesheets feature allows you to select Payroll Items & enter employee hours (+ allocate to Jobs &/or Classes if applicable) just as you would on a Paycheque. The Timesheets total hours by day & also by line (eg per Payroll Item) which will automatically prefill on the Paycheques when you Pay Employees. The beauty of this is that you can enter timesheet hours as received/in advance eg if an employee has leave approved in 3 months time, you can enter this on those days now, so it doesn't get missed when the time comes.
Unfortunately, it's not a full HR system so it can't automatically identify rate changes etc though - You would need to determine & enter the hours accordingly (just like you do on a Paycheque) 😊
