I have added a new super fund to the list of super funds in reckon payroll but when I go to add this fund to a new employee this new super fund is not showing in the list

It however is showing in the list of active super funds in the super fund section.

How do I get it to show when adding to an employee??

Thank you

    Hi @lesley_9730541 ,

    Thank you for your query.

Could you please explain the steps you are taking to add the superannuation fund? Is the newly created superannuation fund set as the default option? If it is not set as the default fund, when you navigate to the employee tab and attempt to add a superannuation fund, please select 'No' in response to the question regarding the use of the default fund. This option should result in the available superannuation funds being populated.

I have attached an image below for your reference. I hope this helps to the issue.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind regards,

    Reeta

When I try to add a super fund the box you mentioned about - use default fund does not show up in my program.

I have added the new fund to the list of super funds but it still doesn't show up when I go to Super fund to find in the employee.

    Appreciate your thoughts

Could you please privately message me your email address for the book so that I can take a further look at it?

Unfortunately, I am unable to allow access to our account from an outside entity.

I would however appreciate any further assistance.

    Thank you

    Hi @lesley_9730541

Can you step us through the process you're going through to add the new super fund?

Are you selecting the option to edit the existing super fund that is listed on the employee profile OR are you clicking the option to Add Super Details? I'd recommend the latter, and then removing the existing super fund.

I've put together a quick little screen recording just as an example below which shows me adding a super fund I've just created to an existing employee's profile.

Let me know if that helps at all or if its still giving you trouble.

    Hi Rav

It is a new employee with a new super fund that was not in our list of super funds. However I have since added this fund to our super fund list under the contact section (superfunds) and it is marked active. But when I go to add this super fund for the new employee (as add new super details) this new super fund is not showing up in the list in the employee section of adding a super fund - can't see why it is not showing up when it is our super fund list and marked active.

    Thanks

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. I think that's where things have gone awry.

Can I get you to please delete that super fund created under the Contacts menu first, then go to Payroll Settings ➡️ Superannuation Funds ➡️ Create Super Fund

Complete the fields to create the super fund, don't worry its just a few fields. Once you've created it here, it will appear as an option to add to the employee. Example below.

We'll need to look at removing the option to create super funds from that Contacts menu. Let me know how you get on.

Fabulous - thanks for your help Rav - you are always amazing

May I ask why there are two sections for super funds then just out of curiosity please?

    Thanks

Sure thing, basically when Reckon Payroll became unified with Reckon One in December (info here) it both upgraded and replaced a lot of payroll features & functionality with brand new options & processes.

The super funds option under the Contacts menu doesn't look to be 'speaking' properly in the background to the new payroll when creating a new fund so I'll raise that with the product team this afternoon.

Moving forward, if you need to create a new super fund, please do so from the Payroll Settings menu and it should work without any issues 🙂

Welcome!
