Download a spreadsheet from Hosted

Hi,
I can see multiple discussions about the new platform and different ways of downloading and uploading files with the floating taskbar replaced with My Files menu.
I have exported a report into Excel spreadsheet this morning and I cannot see it in My Files. I refreshed the screen. Is there a trick?
And just a question - why was the replacement of the floating taskbar necessary?
Any hints will be welcome.
Kindest regards,
Maria

Hi Maria
Did you save the report in your Q drive or within a folder in your Q drive?
If its the former, then click the Last Modified option to sort your list of files by date which should make it easy to locate your newest files or alternatively, pop in the file name of the report into the search bar and it will display results with those keywords from within the location you're currently viewing.
I've put together some info here which has a few tips on using My Files which you might find useful - #TipTuesday - Where has the floating toolbar gone? Introducing the My Files menu! ✨
Let me know how you get on.

When you click the Export button in the report, it should give you the option to give that .csv file a name.
Then in My Files, go to the Q drive and you could use the search bar to locate the file easier.
*If the .csv file is saved in another folder in the Q drive, you may need to locate the folder first.
I hope this helps

Hi,
Yes, I have done this, have given the file a name and it's an Excel spreadsheet .xlsx file extension.
I saved it in the relevant client file, do I need to save it in the root directory, ie Q?
I type the name of the file I saved into the search field and it's not finding it.
Thank you,
Maria

Let’s say your file is located in Q > YourClientFolder > report.xlsx.
First, navigate to the "YourClientFolder" on the Q drive. Once you're inside the folder where the file is saved, you can either use the search bar to find it or browse through the folder manually.
