    Hi @E-Lan,

You can't use a negative figure within Reckon Payroll. What are you exactly trying to do within the pay run here?

Could you please provide more detail, so I can figure out the best way to assist you.

this week, there is no negative numbers. last weeks, i had put some negative hours in personal leaves etc to reverse out errors. but i did not get any error message last 2 weeks though.

    Hi @E-Lan

Can we get a little bit more detail that, specifically where did you enter a negative value? Within a pay run or in an employee's initial YTD balance in their profile?

What sort of errors were you attempting to reverse?

Also, is the current submission that you're sending which is returning the error, is that an update event or just a normal submission?

    Hi Rav

    1. In the past 3 weeks, i have put negative hours/values in personal leaves, annual leaves, normal hours, worker compensation leave.
    2. These negatives are put in a pay run. I did not change any YTD balance.
    3. Due to errors in worker compensation info, i have to reverse out previous week(s) information to reflect the correct details.
    4. For past 2 weeks, when i submit the STP after each payrun, they go through successfully.
    5. Only this week, when i did not put in any negative figures in the payrun, but i encountered the above mentioned error message.
    6. It is a normal submission.

    Hi @E-Lan,

What was changed in the workers compensation information? If you could provide a little more detail around that it would be greatly appreciated.

Then 2nd week, i made adjustments as well for another staff etc. All these were due to delay in correct information being given to me, so adjustments were made in subsequent weeks.

For this week (3rd week), no further adjustments made.

If the negative YTD cannot be resolved, do you think i can disregard this STP, then for next week, the YTD should become positive, then i can submit the STP then. when that work?

    Hi @E-Lan,

I can see that we have access to your Reckon One book from previous support (usually last 1 month).

I have looked over the pay run and nothing sticks out to me from the pay runs.

If you do next weeks submission, it should go through okay but if it doesn't we may need to review very closely the details of your pay runs and what may be causing the problem.

Thank you very much. no problem. hopefully, next week is ok.

are we ok not to submit the STP each week? missing one week of STP is alright for ATO purspose?

    Hi @E-Lan,

The ATO has said a STP submission must be sent on the pay date or before for a pay run. We can't really advise if it's okay to miss a submission.

With that said, yes STP is reported on a YTD basis for employee balances which means that the next submission you send will have employee updated YTD balances.
