About "backup data file"

Hello. I would be very grateful if anyone can advise me whether I can change the name on my "backup data file xxxx.QDF" - and how to do it if possible. I am using Reckon Accounts Personal Plus v31 programme. Thanks and regards, Suzanne

Make sure it's less than 8 digits in length

QDF is not normally a backup, but the extension of a backup is RKN.

A secondary copy of the QDF and its supplementary files stored in a separate location is useful and can serve as a 'backup data file set'.

A *.RKN backup file is like a zip archive that contains inside it the QDF and supplementary files.
