Compatability issue with Outlook 2016 and Reckon 2019

Hi
We have just upgraded to Office & Outlook 2016, and we are still on Reckon Accounts Desktop 2019, and are now getting the error msg we used to get in Reckon in an earlier version, when trying to email directly from reckon. It asks you to "Switch to or Retry". Office also asks every time if we want to Allow the other program. We are also having similar issues when exporting to Excel. Any hints on what to do? We are on Windows 10 if thats relevant.

Leshelle we are all pretty disappointed this is still an issue after so many years but there have been several posts about this. There are also several KB articles. The first thing I would try is to run Reckon as Administrator. Have a look here: https://kb.reckon.com.au/issue_view.asp?ID=4943

Also make sure you are using 32-bit MS Office. Definite issues with RA and 64-bit MS Office https://community.reckon.com/reckon/topics/can-i-use-ms-office-64-bit-with-ra20180

Hi Leshelle,
Are you using Office 365?
And as Steve pointed out, is it a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Office?
Which operating system are you running?
Is it a 32-bit or 64-bit?
Consider the following support article
https://kb.reckon.com.au/issue_view.asp?ID=3945
If you have tried the other workarounds in the support article and it still does not work for you, an alternative is to install a different free 3rd party application "MAPIlab Advanced Security for Outlook" (do a search for it) which seems to have better support for more Outlook versions compared to the free "ClickYes" software (Indicated on Workaround 3 in the support article)
