Is there an option to continue using the Payroll Premier Desktop version if one chooses not to migrate to the cloud base version? I noticed the new cloud based version does not have a timesheet function (As in Payroll Premier) and only has an ability to enter worked hours.

    Hi @Brian Teoh

The desktop version of Payroll Premier will not support STP Phase 2 so we'd strongly recommend making the upgrade to Reckon Payroll.

Just a clarification in regard to timesheets, our Payroll Premier customers who upgrade to Reckon Payroll can use timesheets functionality via the companion Reckon One access they receive and this feeds directly into Reckon Payroll for streamlined pay run creation.

    Hi Rav,

Thanks for the info. I had a quick look at the Reckon One Timesheet section and it is quite different to the ones on Payroll Premier. Is there a link or tutorial on how to use that function in Reckon One?

    Hi Brian

I'll add a guide with some info on timesheets in Reckon One below however it needs a little bit of refinement now that Reckon Payroll is in the mix so we'll get that updated but it'll give you a good idea of how it works.

Once a timesheet has been created and approved, it can be used directly within Reckon Payroll to create your pay run. Simply tick the option on the pay run creation screen -

    Hi Rav,

When using timesheets, I have to go into Reckon One. In Reckon Payroll, it says 3 pay runs are free, and then it needs a subscription. Would that be covered by the former Payroll Premier subscription?

    Hi @Brian Teoh

Yes any remaining subscription you have on your existing Payroll Premier desktop will have been converted to the Reckon Payroll subscription so its a bit odd that is appearing. Unless your subscription has lapsed and expired?

Has it always been that way since you've made the move over to Reckon Payroll or is this a new occurrence?

Maybe it is just a standard message and I shall ignore it.

A problem with using the timesheet function on reckon one. It doesn’t allow me to enter a fortnight (My pay run is every fortnight) of times that employees work. It seems very cumbersome to navigate.

I was wondering if I could still use Payroll Premier to enter clock in and clock out times and from that, it will generate the hours worked so that it could be entered into Reckon Payroll? (Reckon Payroll only allows hours worked to be entered). Is this an option or will Payroll Premier not be supported in due course?
