Reckon Hosted error message - "Didn't get connection settings"
Hello,
We are receiving the error message "didn't get connection settings" when we try to log on.
This has happened after a "system maintenance' before.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes. All of our connections are not working.
Two users must have got in just before it happened as they are working fine.
Have done a clear history etc etc and nothing changed.

Same error for me, tried incognito and same issue…hopefully fixed soon before staff arrive at work.

This has happened before after system maintenance in 2023. I have logged a support ticket but the office isn't staffed until 8.30am.

Was working all weekend, normally updates are Saturday night/ Sunday morning, so may not be from update as it has worked without any problem over weekend, until trying this morning.

I got that error with Firefox and Chrome, but allowed me in with Edge! Another of our team members can still not get in with any browser.

Trying to login this morning; I get the above message.
I see this has happened previously, is Reckon working on the issue and if so when do we think it will be up and running again?

Edge is now working (for me), but Chrome is still not working

Reckon has turned into a joke. The software isn't working and there's still another 90 mins before their support team is there. To show what a joke they are, the Reckon Status page has Reckon Hosted as operational with 100% uptime.

things happen in life, look at the cyber crash that caused worldwide problems, I’m sure Reckon will be working on this ASAP. With so many people affected I don’t think technical support will have any answers until IT has a chance to investigate the problem

We are able to log on now. Someone rebooted the disk!!

Absolutely things happen in life. But this is a business critical software for some and we pay them alot of money for access to it. Instead they lie to their customers by pretending its operational and haven't communicated any issue. Systems crash, things go wrong, but be transparent with your users and communicate what the next steps are. Don't pretend things are all good and stay silent hoping noone will notice.

Morning everyone
Thanks for your reports this morning and I'm really sorry that we had some trouble with Hosted this morning. Certainly not the best start to the week and I apologies for the frustration its caused this morning.
The team have corrected the error a little earlier and logins should be returning to normal.
If you are noticing a little slowness in performance, it should return back to normal in the next few minutes or you can logout in full and then log back in and you should notice a difference.
We're continuing to monitor the service however we expect service to be back to normal.
If you continue to encounter any trouble, please let us know.

Why did the reckon status say that it was operational when it clearly wasn't? We had to get our IT guy out of bed at 6am to come in and check our systems because we checked the status and it said it was operational. Is Reckon going to compensate for the cost of getting him onsite after hours?

Over the years I have always found with anything to do with computers and internet that the best choice is to walk away, at least for a couple of hours. Although I appreciate that these days that’s not always a practical solution
