STP SUBMISSSION STILL PENDING
Hi Team,
I have noticed the pay run I submitted to the ATO is still showing as PENDING.
It normally doesn't take long to switch over to SUCCESS. I haven't encountered this before, and the payrun looks ok.
Is there a technical issue with Reckon Payroll today?

Dear Jen,
Submissions can take up to one full week to process depending on the ATO's current capacity. Most STP files process in a day.
If there is an issue, however, it would be on SBR2 - it would be on the ATO's side of things. As soon as the STP is submit, it is in the ATO's hands.
If you find that this is not the case, you can click into the "Details" option in the submission to see if the ATO has updated the status.

Dear Jen,
Never an issue.
If the submission does return an error, just let me know, and I can give some insight as to why the submission may have failed.
Otherwise, it's likely the ATO taking their time this week.

Maybe being so close to 31st Oct deadline for tax declaration, the ATO is overloaded with work?

Hi Jen
There was an issue with the ATO's SBR2 service earlier today. SBR2 is the ATO service that handles STP transmissions sent from software providers like us, to them.
Their issue will have delayed the processing of STP submissions from all software providers so they'll likely work through the backlog very soon and hopefully you'll see an updated status come through over the next few days.
It looks like they've resolved the issue and the service looks to be back in operation and all green again.

Hi Rav
I've had the same problem. The ATO has confirmed that the payment has gone through but it is still showing as pending in Reckon Accounts. What do I need to do about this?

Leave it as is @Sue_10075371. If its still in a pending status, the ATO hasn't returned a status update for that specific submission.
If the ATO have confirmed the submission was processed then the YTD balances for your employees will have already been updated. Your next successful submission will also update the YTD's for your employee balances.
