My Savings Plan
Hello fellow Reckon PP users,
I have recently installed the latest Reckon PP software V31 and it appears to work fine except for an annoying gitch. Once in a while, as I set up my Savings Plan under Cash Flow, the screen freezes (goes light white) and can't seems to escape. Only option is to Ctrl-Alt-Del under task manager and kill the application - then restart again. Is anyone experiencing this with their latest V31 version? I have history on my PP software going back to 2009 on a single file (backed up frequently), no file attachments on any of my transactions and sits about 43Mbs. Any clues at all ? Thanks in advance!

Hi @bouralex
You've indicated "Once in a while, as I set up my Savings Plan under Cash Flow, the screen freezes (goes light white) and can't seems to escape"
Does this mean that if you attempt the process a few times, it may go through successfully?
Review the basic troubleshooting process for the Quicken/Reckon Accounts Personal range software.
First ensure that you have created a recent backup or copy of your data file set.
Confirm if that resolves the issue.

Started to happen to me today, if I go anywhere near My savings plan, the program locks up and crashes. Is annoying to happen and stalls computer.
We are coming up to being asked for another subscription fee for a program that they have told us will not be updated again. So will we get any support into this or will it be ignored like all other issues since it was bought out from Intuit.

After a few goes at validating my File it seems to have fixed the problem. Not sure how the data got corrupted but seems to have fixed itself.
I am still not happy with the so called support for a quite expensive program and am investigating what I can do to find an alternative that will provide the support and value for the money spent.

Stick with it @grmas1 !
I don't believe there is anything better out there in terms of value for money. I'm a 30+ years user and have found that as long as I deal with issues in a logical manner, using the Reckon tools available to me (eg. File validation, regular backups, community help) and making sure my hardware and system software is compliant and up to date, all is good.
Cheers
JC
