EOFY FINALISATION REPORT RESC AND SALARY SACRIFICE DIFFERENT FOR ONE EMPLOYEE

Hi Team,

I just printed off the EOFY Finalisation report and noticed that one of our employees Salary Sacrifice and RESC figures don't match. This employee changed his superannuation fund twice in the last financial year including the fund he was already in prior to these changes.

The total RESC shows the total for the three Super funds paid into.

However in the Salary Sacrifice column, it's only showing the YTD figure of last Superannuation fund details the money was contributed to. The balance of the other two that are in the RESC column are missing.

We have three other employees who pay Salary Sacrifice and the figures in the Salary Sacrifice and RESC match.

Can someone explain to me what's happened here or how to fix it?

Thank you.

    Morning @JEN

However in the Salary Sacrifice column, it's only showing the YTD figure of last Superannuation fund details the money was contributed to. The balance of the other two that are in the RESC column are missing.

Have the other super funds been disabled? If you go into Payroll Settings ➡️ Super Funds ➡️ Click on the Inactive tab, are the super funds, from which the balances aren't appearing, listed as inactive?

If so, can I get you to reactivate those funds and then generate a new EOFY finalisation and let me know whether that has made any change to these balances?

    Hello Rav,

I did as you suggested and looked in the INACTIVE TAB but it says there are no inactive funds yet.

Any other suggestion how to rectify this. I don't understand why all three salary sacrifice amounts are not showing. I can see the deducted amounts of the other two super funds on the employee's payslip.

    Thank you.

Thanks for checking that out Jen.

I'm not quite sure what's happened there without taking a closer look but I get a feeling that those changes to the super fund you've mentioned has something to do with it.

I've flicked through an access request to your book, it'll come through separate to the email address that the book is registered under. Can you please grant access when you have a sec.

Also, I'll need a few more details -

    • Which employee is affected by this? Surname is fine (unless there's another employee with the same name)
    • Can you give me a few more details on the changes that occurred with the super funds? ie. which super fund did the employee switch from and to along with a rough approximation of when it occurred
    • What is the salary sacrifice and RESC amount currently showing as and what should it be?

    Hi Rav,

I will send you a direct message with the details you requested for this employee.

I will grant you the email access now.

Thank you so much. Hopefully you can sort this out.

    Regards,

    Jen

Hi Jen and Rav, was there a solution to this problem? I have the same thing that has happened and can not see any obvious reason why. Salary Sacrifice shows on 1 employee and the reports but not the other's.

    Hi @1154226

In this particular case there was a bug which affected the display of RESC in reports if an employee had changed super funds ie. it would only display balances from the currently assigned superfund.

We rolled out a fix for this in an update released to Reckon One on July 28 (info here).

In your case, with the employees whose RESC is not displaying, have they changed superfunds recently?
