DATA RECOVERY: How to submit a Reckon Accounts Hosted data file for analysis

If you have not yet requested a data service, please do so by clicking the link below.

Submit a request for a Reckon data service so we can perform an analysis of your data file.

You will receive an email which has the following information 

Customer ID: <XXXXXX>

Customer Email: <XXXXXX>

Case designation: <XXXXXXXXXX Company Name>

Once you receive that email and have been assigned a valid Data Services Case Designation, follow the steps below to send us the Reckon Accounts data file or backup file for analysis

Although your file is on the Hosted platform, you will need to download it first to your local computer and send it separately to our Data Recovery Team.

You will need to follow the instructions to download the company files or download a backup file from the Reckon Accounts Hosted platform onto your local computer.


Send us the Reckon Accounts data file (QBW / QBB) for analysis:

Locate your Reckon Accounts Hosted data file (*.QBW) or backup (*.QBB) file.

Provide it to us by clicking the link below

Send the QBW or QBB File for analysis (choose the Take me to Free option)

You will need to send us the nominated data file(s) to undergo the data service by following the steps below.

Ensure that you follow the steps provided to minimise any delays.

Do not send any attachments via email as it will end up in our junk mail, unread and deleted.


Using the WeTransfer online file sending service


Go to


Click the “Take me to Free” button on the left side of the screen.


Click the blue + icon to add your file(s)                  


Locate and select the file(s) you want to send to us

Enter our email address as the recipient

Enter your email address as the sender

 In the Message field, place the following info shown below (recommend you copy/paste).


Data Service Case Designation: _______________________

Company Name: _______________________

Contact Name: _________________________

Data File Name(s) ___________________ 

Before you click the button to send us the file, make sure you have placed the required information in the message field

Then click the Transfer button


Providing that information in the file submission will let us know that the file being submitted is assigned to your case so we can perform the analysis. By informing us of the name of the file(s) you are sending, we can confirm that what we receive is what you intended to send us.

If you do not provide the required information, it will result in delays processing your case.
