I'm trying to upgrade to Reckon Payroll, why am I being asked to setup my company?
Company Setup when trying to upgrade to Reckon Payroll
I'm a Reckon One user trying to upgrade to Reckon Payroll but I'm running into a company setup screen rather than Reckon Payroll just opening up directly, why is this happening?
If you've been using Reckon One for payroll and STP submissions for a while and are now in the process of upgrading to Reckon Payroll but encountering a company setup screen as shown above then there could be a few simple reasons for that.
1️⃣ Your branch number in Reckon One is blank
Check the branch number field in your Reckon One book by going to Settings ➡ Book Settings ➡ Branch Number
If your ABN does not have a specific branch number the default is 001.
Please ensure there is a valid entry in this field and it matches the branch number for your ABN and select Save.
2️⃣ Your ABN in your Reckon One book has spaces
Check the ABN field in your Reckon One book by going to Settings ➡ Book Settings ➡ ABN
If your ABN has spaces, please remove them and then select Save.
Still having trouble? 😵
If you've checked both of the above and everything seems in order but you're still running into the company setup screen when you try to open Reckon Payroll then we may need to take a closer look.
