Don't have permission to view Reckon Payroll

I have "Super User" access to the Reckon books that I use, but when trying to update for STP2 I keep getting this error.

Another post said to take authorisation away and re-give it and wait a few hours, which we have done, but I am still getting the error.

Any ideas please?

    Hi @Catherine Sinnott

In order to access Reckon Payroll you need to have either the admin or payroll admin role. There's more info on this including a link to our guide around permissions in our FAQ which I'll link below -

Ah ok gotcha. Ok in that case, the admin/owner can create the payroll admin role and then grant it to you. To do that they just need login to Reckon One, then go to Settings ➡️ Roles ➡️ Add

Add in a Role Name eg. Payroll Admin for example and then give you any relevant permissions.

The default Payroll Admin role has the following permissions for payroll (click on the image for a larger view) and a few other limited permissions to other areas.

Hi Rav, thank you very much for that, however the owner and administrator of the books does not have the option to grant Payroll Admin rights - we have followed the instructions and Payroll Admin does not appear as an option at all. He would understandably like to retain the Administrator function for himself.

Is there a way we can enable access to that for the owner/administrator?

    Cheers Cath

Thanks heaps for that, we will try that when he is back in the office (I only work Tuesdays so if he isn't back tonight I might not know until next week). Sorry I wasn't clear with my first question - and looking back through my history here, you have answered pretty much every question I have had over the years, so thank you for that too!

    Cheers Cath
