unable to print reports

I am an old dinosaur and operate old software my laptop is windows vista and my software is quickbooks plus: small business plus payroll2007/8 , which has been working perfectly for what i needed up until 12 months ago i started not to be able to print reports does anybody have any idea how i can get this program to start printing reports again

    Hi kris

    Can you provide more detail as to what exactly is happening when you try to print reports ? Are you getting a specific error message ?

    Hi Acctd4

    Printer is connected and turned on , i go to reports and select what i want to print , press the print button nothing happens , go to the drop down menu (file) ,hit print report , nothing happens , hit ctrl p , nothing happens , no error messages at all , just does nothing , go out of quickbooks and i can print

    Are you able to print anything at all from Quickbooks eg Invoices etc?

    The technical side isn't really my forte but it may be that the program's print drivers are just no longer compatible as that program is 16 years old & technology has upgraded considerably since then 😪

    @Rav may have some more insight ?

    Dear @kris ,

    As @Acctd4 has said, this software is no longer compatible with current versions of Windows. The program has been discontinued and any assistance or guidance we could offer would be unreliable due to the nature of this incompatibility.

    To ensure the best experience, we recommend upgrading to the latest version of Reckon Accounts Business Range 2023.

    Hi @kris

    You've indicated that you are able to print other documents from other software using the printer.

    With regard to the issue you are experiencing, it would be useful to confirm whether the issue is related to:

    a) The currently installed QuickBooks 2007/08 program and any specific printer settings you may have configured

    • Use the in-product Help to search for Printer

    b) The specific company data file you are opening.

    * if the problem occurs on any other data file, then the issue may be due to an installation or printer configuration issue

    * if the problem only occurs on a specific data file but does not occur on a different file, then it at least confirm that only that specific data file is affected.
