    Hi,

can someone help me please, I am having issues with the Multi-Factor Authenticator. I've scanned the code multiple times and type in the code and it still gave me "Invalid code" until I exceeded the amount of attempts and have to wait about 1hr….. I've tried using my mobile number but it kept saying my number is Invalid. I spoke to 4 people on this and its still haven't found a fix.

    Hi @tnooapii

Is this the first time you're setting up MFA for your Reckon Accounts Hosted account or have you previously had it enabled successfully?

Are you using the Google Authenticator app? If so, click on the menu button ➡️ Settings ➡️ Time Correction for Codes ➡️ Sync Now

Once that's done try setting up your MFA again and let us know if its successful or if you're still running into trouble.

    Hi @Rav ,

No, not my first time I've been using Reckon for quite some time now. I've tried uninstalling the authentication app "Google Authenticato" etc…

But I followed the instructions you said above…its working now !!!…

    THANK YOU !!!…

Excellent, glad to hear its back on track 😄

Hopefully smooth sailing from here but sing out if you run into any further trouble.

    Cheers!

    Hi @tnooapii

If your existing MFA is still enabled on your Hosted account, you'll need to revoke that first before you can set it up again.

The good news is, its really easy to revoke your existing MFA and there's info on how to do so here - Revoking your current MFA from your Reckon Accounts Hosted account 🔓

If you've already revoked your existing MFA, then you can setup MFA by following the steps here - How do I setup MFA for Reckon Accounts Hosted? 🔒

    Hi Rav,

Thank you for getting to me, I'm in the middle of setting up the MFA but every time I scan the code it keeps saying "Invalid code" and I've reached the number of attempts

"Attempt limit exceeded. Please try again later."

so now I'm waiting till I can go back in to try again in about 30 minutes. The Authenticator app that I am using is Google Authenticator and the icon is grey.

    Kind regards

Before trying again, I'd suggest performing the time correction for codes step again that was outlined above from the last time.

Make sure you've deleted any other MFA entries in your authenticator app for the specific RAH account you're trying to setup MFA on, (if there are any in there).

Alternatively, try using the SMS option just to see if that gets you in as a test.
