warning of expiry when open the Reckon Accounts
our annual license should be expired in mid of Nov and I've renewed our license online in Oct 2024 already. Starting from yesterday, we see the warning when opening the Reckon Accounts every time. We should have installed the upgrade in Aug 2024, tried to click "File menu > Refresh license" but the same warning message shown. What should we do next?
Under "help > my license information", it should be "edition 2023" or "2024" will be shown?

Hi @robbieng
From what you've described, it sounds like you're still using the 2023 edition of Reckon Accounts Desktop rather than the current 2024 edition that you're eligible for.
In the top menu bar or under Help ➡️ About Reckon Accounts, it will state the year edition of the current version you have open.
If its not the 2024 edition then you're not using the current version of Reckon Accounts. If you haven't already installed the 2024 edition, you'll find it in the Reckon Members Area along with your installation and activation details.
If you have already installed the 2024 edition and need to activate that edition and having trouble doing so online, give our Customer Service team a call on 1800 732 566 and we'll be able to get this straightened out.

Hi @robbieng
That error message indicates that the Reckon Accounts software is unable to make a connection to the data file that you are attempting to open.
This may be due to the drive/folder location in which the QBW file you are attempting to open in located.
It may also be due to actual data file errors in that QBW file.
Recommend that you confirm:
- When was the last time you were able to open the data file?
- Where is the data file currently located?
- How often do you create a backup file?
- How many backup files do you have available?
- When was the last time you created a backup file at a time when you were able to open the data file?
If you require assistance with determining the current location of the data file or locating your backups, contact the Technical Support Team. You can go to the Support Hub and log a support ticket.
Restoring the most recent backup is usually the fastest option to overcome the issue of being unable to open the current data file.
After you have consulted with the Technical Support Team and they have attempted to assist you, if they determine that the file may require a data file repair service, they can escalate the case.

Hi @robbieng
Please follow the steps mentioned in the article - Error -6000, -82: An error occurred when trying to open the file or An error occurred when Reckon Accounts tried to access the company file - Reckon Help and Support Centre
Once you delete .ND and .TLG File, it should work. Please reach out if you have any concerns. Thank you!
