Personal Range v31, problem opening saved file

Hi,

I have just downloaded and activated Personal range31. When I try to open it is looking for a QDF file but my saved data is a RKN file.

I can’t get any further. How can I get the program to recognise my RKN files. Thank you,

Hi Rav,

Thank you for your reply. I couln't even open the app, I just got the dialog box asking where my file was but couldn't find any QDF files.

But after much hunting around I think I am sorted.

Thinking I will look at another option when it is due for renewal at the end of the year as they make it so hard to use their software.

Opening the Reckon Accounts Personal range application and opening a data file are two separate actions.

Opening a data file (QDF) is different to restoring a backup file (RKN).

A backup file (RKN) contains inside it the QDF primary data file and other supplementary files.

You could not find a QDF since as you had indicated you only had available an RKN file.

The steps for restoring an RKN backup file will result in the creation of the extracted QDF and other supplementary files.
